Have you watched this movie? If you haven't, i suggest you to watch this movie as soon as possible. You won't regret it, trust me. I can guarantee that you won't regret if you watch this movie cause this movie is a fantastic Indonesian movie i've ever seen (yea beside Laskar Pelangi i mean). This movie actually adapted from National best seller novel written by Dhonny Dirgantoro with title "5 cm" and directed by Rizal Mantovani. I'm so glad and proud finally Indonesia has a movie which is adorable like this.
5cm tell about friendship, love and dream. The story start from five friends who have been together almost ten years. They're Zafran (Herjunot Ali), Arial (Denny Sumargo), Genta (Fedi Nuril), Ian (Igor 'Saykoji') and Riani (Raline Shah). One day, when they are together in Arial's home, they felt boring with their activity all this time. So, Genta decide to they not allowed meet for 3 month and surely without communication. They are free to do and focus with their new activity. Ian start to do his essay so that he can do his session and immediately graduation. Arial focus to aproach the girl after before he never have courage to say hello with the girl. Zafran who are interested with Dinda (Pevita Pearce) -Arial's sister-, also aproach her and almost every day call her. Fyi, Zafran is poetic man. Genta is busy with his job at office. After 3 month pass, Genta texting four of them to prepare all the things needed for their first meeting at train station after 3 month haven't met. Genta promise that they will have a fantastic and unbelieveable journey.
In fact, they have journey to Semeru mountain, which is the highest mountain peak in Java. Before they start to hike, they said this...
And you should see the landscape of Semeru. How beautiful! I loooooove the visualization of this movie. You shoud see how beautiful Indonesia. Good job for the director and camera person who is great for take beautiful scene in Semeru. There are some problem while they are hiking, but they always success to solve it. Proud of their friendship and how they can together to reach their dream to reach the peak of Semeru. Salute!
